What goes on a cleaning quote
The usual line items. The AI picks the ones your job needs, and you can add or remove any.
- Cleaning labour (hours or fixed)
- Oven / appliance clean
- Window cleaning
- Carpet cleaning (optional)
- Products and equipment
- Rubbish removal
Tips for cleaning quotes that win the job
- Write the checklist into the scope. For tenancy cleans, it's what the property manager will check against.
- Offer the extras (carpets, walls, blinds) as separate lines the client can tick off.
- Say what happens if the place is worse than described: a revised price before you start.
Example job description
End of tenancy clean of a 2-bedroom unfurnished flat, Wellington: oven, bathroom, kitchen, windows inside, vacuum and mop. Carpets not included. About 6 hours.
The more you say (size, location, who supplies what, how long it takes), the better the draft. Anything you leave out goes into the assumptions, so the customer can see it.
Questions
- Is a quote a fixed price?
- A quote is generally a fixed price for the work it describes, while an estimate is your best guess. If the job changes, agree the change in writing. This is why Sorted Quote lists assumptions and exclusions on every quote.
- Do I have to charge GST?
- You must register for GST once your turnover will be more than $60,000 in 12 months. If you are registered, show the total including GST on quotes to homeowners. Untick "GST registered" if you aren't.
- Does the AI set my prices?
- No. It drafts the scope, line items, assumptions and exclusions. You type in your own rates, and the GST and totals are worked out exactly in your browser.
- Is it free?
- Yes. No sign-up, no card. Your business details are saved on your device, not on our servers.
