Tips for fencing quotes that win the job
- Quote by the metre and list gates separately. Boundary jobs are often re-measured.
- If neighbours are sharing, offer to send each one their half as a separate quote.
- Exclude finding the boundary. The owners need to agree where the line is.
Rules to mention in New Zealand
Boundary fences between neighbours are covered by the Fencing Act 1978. Neighbours usually share the cost of an adequate fence.
